چکیده

Since data rates for cell-edge users cannot be improved by merely increasing transmission power due to inter-cell interference (ICI), the interference management and alignment become crucial for cell-edge users. In this paper, we consider a simple approach where each base station (BS) in coordination transmits signals to a dedicated user through multiple subcarriers shared by adjacent BSs so that a higher diversity can be exploited for a better performance through joint detection. 1

Joint Allocation of Computational and Communication Resources to Improve Energy Efficiency in Cellular Networks

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a new technology that has been developed to overcome the restrictions of smart mobile devices (e.g. battery, processing power, storage capacity, etc.) to send a part of the program (with complex computing) to the cloud server (CS). In this paper, we study a multi-cell with multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) system in which the cell-interior users request service...

Diversity Interference Cancellation for GSM/ EDGE using Reduced-Complexity Joint Detection

In cellular mobile radio systems, multiple access is causing interference that limits capacity of the networks. The GSM system with multiple users can be interpreted as MIMO system with a desired user and (cochannel and adjacent channel) interferers. Using a multiple– input multiple–output (MIMO) multiuser joint detection approach for desired signal and one or more (strongest) interferers, netw...

Performance Analysis of ZF Pre-Coder and Extended Joint Channel Estimation Method in Downlink CDMA with HPA

In the down link scenario of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, multi user detectors (MUDs) such as linear de-correlating detector (LDDs) provide satisfactory symbol error rates (SERs) at the expense of much increased complexity, they require all active users’ spreading sequences, which is impractical from privacy point of view. To overcome this impracticality, a simple matched filte...

A Framework for Optimizing the Downlink Performance of Distributed Antenna Systems under a Constrained Backhaul

Recent work has shown that multi-cell co-operations in cellular networks, enabling distributed antenna systems and joint transmission or joint detection across cell boundaries, can significantly increase system capacity and user fairness. Most publications in this field assume that an infinite amount of information can be exchanged between the co-operating base stations, neglecting the main dow...

Inter-cell Interference Mitigation in Multi-cell Cooperating System Based on SLNR Method

Coordinated Multi-Point transmission/reception (CoMP) can increase the performance of the cell edge users, the spectrum efficiency and mitigate the inter-cell interference among cells. In the CoMP scenario, several base stations which usually need satisfy the cooperating condition serve a single or several cell-edge users cooperatively. As we know, the CoMP techniques can be characterized into ...
